Vivian is TWO Wild! A Safari-Themed Second Birthday Adventure

When Vivian’s mom first reached out to me about planning her daughter’s second birthday, she had just one request: “My daughter loves animals!” Naturally, I started imagining something soft and sweet — maybe a puppy or kitten theme. But then she added, “The wilder, the better!”

That changed everything — and “Vivian is TWO Wild” was born!

The challenge was to take a wild animal theme and make it feel fun, girly, and age-appropriate for a two-year-old. We wanted something that felt adventurous but still soft and whimsical. So we leaned into pastel pinks and greens to balance out the bold safari elements.

The Entrance: Welcome to Vivian’s Safari

Guests were greeted by a custom entrance display that set the tone right away — “Welcome to Vivian’s Safari!” We played with different shapes and sizes to keep the design dynamic and abstract, while pastel pink and green accents softened the overall look.

To bring in that “wild” touch, we styled the display with a pair of elegant CosmoLiving by Cosmopolitan Gold Polystone Giraffe Sculptures that added just the right wow factor.

Each little guest got their own safari vest & hat set and play binoculars to wear during the party — the perfect combo for exploring “Vivian’s Safari!” These also doubled as adorable favors the kids took home.

The Main Backdrop: A Perfect Balance of Wild and Whimsy

For the main backdrop, we focused on symmetry with a strong central piece. Balloons in soft pink, green, and beige cascaded toward the middle, creating a cohesive and dreamy focal point. A few giraffe-patterned balloons added texture and playfulness, giving the setup that extra layer of visual interest.

The Wild Guests

No wild safari is complete without a few animal friends! We partnered with the perfect petting zoo company that brought in llamas, zebras, and other exotic animals for the kids to meet. It was such a delight watching the little ones light up with excitement — and the adults were just as enchanted.

The Result

From the thoughtful details to the interactive fun, “Vivian is TWO Wild” turned out to be the perfect mix of adventure and sweetness. It was a day full of laughter, exploration, and joy — and a reminder that creativity knows no limits when it comes to celebrating little ones!
